The Lindisfarne Hymn
The Lindisfarne Hymn was written in honor of William Irwin Thompson and the Lindisfarne Fellowship. I was a member of the group in its final years, and the piece was meant to lend us all strength as we work toward evolution of consciousness and Wissenkunst during trying times. If we come to terms with the hard truths of our lives, we can be liberated and continue to sing our freedom. As Wendell Berry (another Lindisfarnian) once wrote: "Be joyful though you have considered all the facts."
